Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Clifton Park Fully Onsite

Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Clifton Park is seeking an experienced Automotive Sales Manager with a strong background in finance and insurance operations. This is a dual-function leadership position primarily responsible for leading the sales department while providing F&I Manager coverage approximately one to two days per week, based on business needs.

The ideal candidate is a proven automotive retail leader who can coach and develop a high-performing sales team, structure profitable, customer-focused deals, and support a transparent and compliant F&I process. This position is well suited for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced dealership environment and knows how to turn performance goals into consistent
What You'll Do
  • Lead, coach, motivate, and develop the dealership's sales team.
  • Conduct daily sales meetings, individual coaching sessions, and performance discussions.
  • Establish clear expectations and hold the sales team accountable for results.
  • Oversee the complete sales process, from initial customer contact through vehicle delivery.
  • Review and structure profitable, customer-focused deals.
  • Monitor CRM activity, lead response, appointment-setting, follow-up, and closing performance.
  • Partner with dealership leadership to achieve monthly sales volume, gross profit, and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Oversee inventory presentation, merchandising, and vehicle-aging strategies.
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and retain high-performing sales professionals.
  • Provide F&I Manager coverage approximately one to two days per week, based on business needs.
  • Present financing and protection products clearly and professionally.
  • Submit deals to lenders, obtain approvals, prepare contracts, and support timely funding.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, lender, manufacturer, and dealership requirements.

What We're Looking For
  • At least five years of automotive retail management experience.
  • Demonstrated success in both Sales Manager and F&I Manager responsibilities.
  • Proven ability to lead a sales team and improve individual and department performance.
  • Strong knowledge of deal structure, lender relationships, finance products, contracting, funding, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with CDK or a comparable dealership management system.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets the dealership's insurance and vehicle-use requirements.
  • Availability to work a dealership schedule, including evenings and weekends as required.

Compensation
  • Base salary of $125,000-$140,000 annually
  • Additional performance-based bonus opportunity
  • Actual compensation will depend on qualifications, experience, and performance.
