Full Job Description
Hyundai Surprise, a Ken Garff Automotive Dealership, is currently looking for a talented automotive F&I Director that aligns with our core values and acts with respect, intelligence, greatness, honesty and teamwork.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage overall production in accordance with company and/or dealership standards related to reserve income, F&I product penetrations/income, and Per-Vehicle-Retail (PVR) averages for retail (new and used) and lease customers. This includes establishing monthly F&I objectives (in conjunction with sales department forecasting) and clearly communicating those objectives to the dealership F&I team.
  • Review, understand and train on company compliance guidelines in the following areas:
    • Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA)
    • Privacy Notices
    • Identity Theft Protection Program (ITPP) - Red Flag Compliance
    • Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC)
    • IRS 8300/FinCEN
    • Adverse Action Notices
  • Manage deal and cash flow in accordance with company Contracts-In-Transit (CIT) guidelines.
  • Ensure all F&I Managers acquire and maintain necessary insurance licenses in accordance with state requirements.
  • Educate F&I Managers on the features and benefits of all F&I products and the correct method of selling and disclosing those products to customers.
  • Instruct F&I Managers on the proper presentation and disclosure of all documents related to the purchase of a vehicle, including F&I products, finance/lease interest rates and loan terms.
  • Review and understand the Ken Garff Preferred Lender Program and manage lender production based on the parameters outlined in that program.
  • Effectively communicate and train on the specific program requirements for each of the Preferred Lenders.
  • Assist in the structuring of deals (when necessary) and submitting customer and vehicle information to lending sources for approval.
  • Work directly with lending sources to increase the probability of deal approvals and the maximization of per deal profit.
  • Ensure F&I Managers are collecting and safeguarding all money and fees required to satisfy loan requirements.
  • Monitor F&I Managers adherence to company guidelines related to the video recording of vehicle transactions (100% of the time) and completion of at least one F&I training module per week.
  • Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with each F&I Manager.
  • Participate in dealership and company required compliance training, per company guidelines.
  • Attend and participate in manager meetings when instructed (including daily "Save-A-Deal" meetings).
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:
  • 3 - 5 years of prior experience in a dealership F&I Department and selling of financial services is required
  • Experience in leading and or managing a team or department
  • Must be able to provide references upon request
  • High School diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
  • Valid in-state driver's license
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to sell a minimum quota according to the dealership standards
