Qualifications

• High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE), or completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• 1+ years of RN Critical Care experience required.
• Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification by American Heart Association (AHA) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to a maximum of 2 patients in a 24-bed unit with a focus on cardiothoracic and vascular surgery.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, therapists, case managers, and pharmacists.
• Develop and integrate comprehensive patient care plans incorporating interdisciplinary insights and approaches.
• Monitor patients’ conditions and adjust care plans as necessary based on real-time assessments and ongoing evaluations.
• Educate patients and their families about health management and post-surgery care.
