The Experience Strategy & Transformation Principal for Group Specialty Products is a senior role within the Product Delivery organization, accountable for shaping, aligning, and accelerating end-to-end product experiences across Group Specialty lines of business. This role partners closely with Product, Technology, Operations, and Business leaders to ensure that product strategies, delivery roadmaps, and operating models are grounded in a clear business architecture and deliver measurable value to customers, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
The Experience Strategy & Transformation Principal brings deep expertise in experience-led transformation, product operating models, and enterprise business architecture to guide complex, cross-product initiatives. This role influences outcomes across multiple portfolios by translating business strategy into coherent product capabilities, value streams, and delivery execution.
Key Responsibilities
Experience & Product Strategy
- Lead experience strategy and transformation initiatives across Group Specialty products, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals, customer needs, and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with Product Management and Product Delivery leaders to define experience-driven product strategies, outcomes, and success metrics.
- Champion a consistent, scalable approach to experience design across Group Specialty offerings, balancing innovation with operational feasibility.
- Collaborate and work directly with Director, AVP, and VP level leaders across business and IT
Product Delivery Alignment
- Embed experience strategy into the Product Delivery lifecycle, influencing intake, prioritization, roadmap planning, and execution.
- Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure initiatives are structured around clear customer journeys and measurable outcomes.
- Act as a strategic advisor to Product Owners, Delivery Leads, and Program leaders on complex, multi-year initiatives.
Business Architecture & Capability Modeling
- Define and maintain business capability models for Group Specialty products, ensuring clarity on what the business does today and what capabilities are required for future-state strategies.
- Define and maintain 3-5 year strategic roadmap for Group Specialty
- Map customer and operational experiences to underlying business capabilities, value streams, and enabling technologies.
- Partner with Enterprise Architecture and Technology teams to ensure business architecture informs solution design, sequencing, and investment decisions.
- Identify capability gaps, redundancies, and dependencies across products to inform roadmap decisions and transformation priorities.
Transformation Leadership
- Lead experience and operating model transformations that span multiple products, functions, or platforms.
- Advise senior leaders on trade-offs, sequencing, and change impacts related to experience, delivery, and architecture decisions.
- Be a subject matter expert on experience strategy, product operating models, and business architecture best practices.
Executive Influence & Governance
- Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to senior executives on initiatives of significant scope and complexity.
- Support portfolio-level governance by ensuring initiatives align to defined capabilities, value streams, and strategic outcomes.
- Communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's or Doctorate preferred in Business, Technology, Design, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in product strategy, experience transformation, product delivery, or enterprise transformation roles.
- Demonstrated experience working within Product Delivery or Agile product organizations at scale.
- Strong background in business architecture, including capability modeling, value streams, and experience-to-capability alignment.
- Proven ability to influence without authority and operate effectively as a senior individual contributor.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in insurance, financial services, or regulated industries strongly preferred; Group or Specialty products.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$150,000 - $206,300 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
