Overview

i3 is are seeking a highly skilled Experience Modernization Team (XMT) Product Owner (PO). The XMT is responsible for defining and delivering the NexGen Air and Missile Defense Product Solutions — operating at the intersection of user research, design, and mission context to ensure the right solutions are built, by grounding every product decision in a deep, holistic understanding of real warfighter needs. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between technical execution and program strategy, driving the suitability of experimental capabilities for implementation into the IBCS program.

Responsibilities

The PO will be responsible for the prioritization and validation of efforts executed within a PI.

Key responsibilities:

  • Communicate with leadership when products are ready to push into the development process.
  • Prioritize user research, studies, and suitability evaluations in coordination with Program Management for PIs and sprints.
  • Deliver technical briefings and demonstrations to leadership, offering COAs and impact analysis.
  • Assist with technical roadmap for implementation and integration of efforts based on maturity and suitability of design.
  • Serve as a bridge between PAE Fires stakeholders, Users, and the experience modernization team.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Have a bachelors degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences or mathematics.
  • Have a minimum of 10 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed above.
  • Be fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset.
  • Proficiency with the Atlassian toolset (Jira/Confluence) for backlog management and the Microsoft Office toolset for professional deliverables
  • The candidate must have a good understanding of engineering practices. within Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), user research, and UX/UI design.
  • An active clearance or the ability to obtain andmaintaina DoD security clearance.
  • US citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge in IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS. Prior Product Owner of a SW development SCRUM team.
  • Experience leading user centered design practices to include design of experiments, collection methods, and post analysis.
