Join our HII Mission Technologies team in Colorado Springs, CO as an Exercise Logistics Planner (Mission Assurance 5). In this role, you will serve as the central point for synchronizing COCOM-level exercise planning efforts, ensuring every functional area and participating unit is aligned with the overall exercise design with a focus on logistics planning. What You Will Do
• Lead integration of exercise planning through the full JELC across J7, J3, J4, J5 and external agency partners to synchronize objectives, timelines, and resources with a focus on logistics planning.
• Develop and maintain the Master Scenario Events List (MSEL), injecting operational narratives that drive exercise realism.
• Deconflict training schedules, simulation injects, and resource allocations to eliminate overlap and ensure seamless execution.
• Facilitate collaboration among functional leads, subordinate units, and interagency representatives to validate requirements and priorities.
• Apply the Joint Operational Planning Process (JOPP) and HSEEP methodologies to scenario development, force planning, and after-action reviews.
• Conduct mission analysis and risk assessments to inform scenario design and recommend mitigations.
• Prepare detailed exercise support plans, synchronization matrices, and logistics documentation.
• Monitor live exercise execution, capture real-time data, and provide immediate corrective guidance to controllers.
• Produce comprehensive assessment reports and lessons-learned briefs for senior leadership.
• Integrate emerging doctrine, tactics, and advanced warfighting technologies (e.g., cyber, EW, space) into training scenarios.

What You Must Have
• 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
• 9 + years of experience in exercise planning, integration, or military operations at a Combatant Command or Major Command level.
• 5+ years of experience in military logistics operations, sustainment planning, or deployment/distribution management across joint or service-level organizations, with demonstrated understanding of logistics C2 systems and resource allocation processes.
• Proven experience coordinating logistics support for large-scale military exercises or operations, including force deployment planning, supply chain management, transportation coordination, and logistics sustainment activities.
• Demonstrated expertise in JOPP, HSEEP, and MSEL development.
• Proven track record deconflicting schedules, resources, and storyline injects across multi-domain exercises.
• In-depth knowledge of strategic and operational-level planning for homeland defense and contingency operations.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including briefings to senior leadership.
• Active TS/SCI clearance required.

Preferred Requirements
• Prior service as an Exercise Planner at a Combatant Command HQ (e.g., NORTHCOM, EUCOM, CENTCOM).
• Previous experience as an action officer (or civilian equivalent) at NORTHCOM.
• Military service in a J5 or J7 planning staff role.
