The pay range is $64,000.00 - $128,000.00

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and in some instances may include education, work experience and certifications. ALL ABOUT ASSETS PROTECTION 

The job of Assets Protection (AP) teams is to keep our guests, team and brand secure and lead through crisis events. They protect profitable sales by mitigating shortage risks, preventing, theft and fraud to ensure products are available for our guest. They also build relationships inside and outside of Target including store leaders and public safety officials, including law enforcement.

  • Creating and managing a security culture, including crisis response, a strong safety environment and crowd-management planning and providing support to both guests and team members  

  • Leading strategic AP goals and strategies and delivering results through your team 

  • Identifying and developing strategic resolutions of external theft and fraud and apprehending individuals attempting to cause a loss consistent with Target policy 

  • Planning and conducting internal and external investigations, from identification through resolution  

  • Recruiting, selecting, retaining, development and talent management of hourly team members and leaders 

 

As Executive Team Leader - Assets Protection, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day most likely will include the following responsibilities: 

  • Consistently delivers guest experience commitments 

  • Holds TLs accountable to deliver exceptional guest experiences through consistent accountability, team development, training and recognition. 

  • Celebrates outstanding guest experiences across teams and ensures recognition is consistent and meaningful. 

  • Reviews area guest, financial, and team metrics to identify gaps and understand team behaviors. 

  • Celebrates wins, sets clear priorities, and leads actions that drive results and enhance the guest experience. 

  • Partners across teams to create an easy, inspiring and friendly guest experience. 

  • Establish, manage,influenceand validatea security culture by driving and improving physical security processes.

  • Lead store responsetoemergencyandcrisis situations anddevelopsecurity plans for in-store events.

  • Educate store leaders and teams on emergency preparedness and physical security procedures.

  • Identifyshortage risks in key areasand develop strategiesand tacticstoreduce shortageand drive profitable sales.

  • Drive total store sales and increase profitability by ensuring product is in stock and available to our guests.

  • Guide APteam leaders in your district/marketon strategies to execute company initiatives.

  • Plan and lead investigative and verbal de-escalationtrainingsas needed;identify, plan and facilitate other trainings as needed for your AP team, store or district.

  • Maintain all required trainingfor you and your team.

  • Manageidentification and resolution of internalinvestigationsincluding conducting internal interviews for your store and nearby stores in partnership with your leader.

  • Anticipate andidentifytheft and shortage trends in your store and develop proactive strategies to prevent shortage and theft.

  • Support store team indeterminingoperational shortage priorities for store; educate and influence store teams on these priorities.

  • Manageprevention(inclusive of merchandise protection budgeting), identification and resolution of external theft incidents and investigations.

  • Worka schedule that aligns to guest and business needs,based on securityand theft patterns (this includes early morning/overnightshifts, eveningand weekends).

  • Build partnerships that allow you toidentifymarket trends and competition strategies.

  • Build a relationship of trust and accountability with your leader and Store Directorin order toappropriately advocate for AP priorities and initiatives.

  • Develop,scheduleand deployresources based on analysis ofsecurityand theft trendsin your unique location.

  • Plan,leadand followup on organizational and operational changes.

  • Establishandmaintaina culture of accountability through clear expectations and performance management.

  • Anticipateshort-term and long-termstaffingand schedulingneeds.Managetalent planning,recruitment and AP payroll utilization.

  • Support the onboarding and development of AP Team Leaders in your district/market.

  • Develop,coach and lead your team members and Team Leaders (if applicable) to elevate their skills and expertise.

  • Educate store leadership on merchandiseprotection best practice and audit execution in partnership with key partners.<
