The Executive Director sets the tone for a warm, respectful environment where residents thrive, families feel confident, and staff are supported and inspired to do their best work. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for a licensed health care professional who blends strong business acumen with genuine compassion for older adults.
Key Responsibilities

Compliance & Operations
  • Ensure full compliance with all state rules and regulations governing residents and employees.
  • Provide oversight and direction to all department heads and every aspect of the community.
  • Continuously seek to improve processes and equipment, promoting a quality-focused culture.

Financial Management
  • Oversee financial operations, including budget forecasting and budgetary compliance.
  • Maintain current, accurate financial records and collect rent payments.
  • Work within budget, implement cost-saving measures, and contribute to revenue and profitability.

Leadership
  • Direct all Human Resources - interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management - while ensuring compliance with employment laws.
  • Oversee staff in-services, teamwork, and accountability, and foster a positive, collaborative culture.
  • Address employee complaints and resolve problems fairly and promptly.

Resident, Family & Community Growth
  • Direct and coordinate resident activities and daily community life, and promote open communication among staff, residents, and families.
  • Oversee resident and family satisfaction, from smooth move-ins and orientation to thoughtfully handling concerns and suggestions.
  • Lead marketing and occupancy by conducting tours, cultivating referral sources, and driving resident retention.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Frequently required to walk, sit, and stand, and to lift 50 or more pounds.
  • Quiet work environment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
