Executive Director of Veterans Programming

The Ness Center | Full-Time | Exempt

Serving those who have served our country is more than providing treatment; it is about helping Veterans and their families find stability, connection, and hope. We are looking for an Executive Director of Veterans Programming to lead behavioral health and supportive services for Veterans, service members, and their families.

This role provides clinical and operational leadership for our Veterans programs, overseeing behavioral health and substance use services, case management, peer and family support, housing assistance, benefits and employment navigation, and community partnerships. The Executive Director will lead and develop a multidisciplinary team, ensure quality and regulatory compliance, oversee access, safety, documentation and outcomes, manage program resources, and build strong connections with Veterans systems and community providers. Most importantly, this leader will help create a compassionate continuum of care where Veterans can find support, stability, dignity, and a path forward.

Minimum Qualifications
• Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or another clinical behavioral health discipline
• Current Louisiana independent clinical license in good standing
• Five years of post master's clinical experience, including three years leading outpatient behavioral health or substance use disorder services
• Experience with co-occurring conditions, clinical supervision, crisis coordination, quality improvement, documentation, and regulatory compliance
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing clinic operations, electronic health records, budgets, facilities, contracts, and partnerships
• Strong clinical judgment, leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as needed
• Commitment to confidentiality and protection of participant information

Preferred Qualifications
• Approved clinical supervisor status, advanced substance use credential, or specialty certification
• Military service, Veteran status, or experience serving Veterans and military families
• Experience with integrated care, housing or homelessness services, Veterans systems, or Louisiana provider networks
