Job Summary

The Executive Director provides executive-level leadership, project management, and strategic support to the President by coordinating high-priority institutional initiatives and driving Presidential priorities. Acting as a community liaison between the President's office and campus and community stakeholders, the Executive Director exercises a high degree of independent judgment and discretion to navigate complex projects, conducts policy analysis, and facilitates transparent communication across the college. The Executive Director collaborates with internal departments and external community partners to ensure that strategic milestones are executed, advancing the President's institutional vision.

Responsibilities

1 -
-Presidential Priority Coordination: Coordinates Presidential initiatives and strategic priorities, including the development of comprehensive project plans, timelines, deliverables, and follow-up actions.

-Project Leadership: Leads complex, cross-functional institutional projects involving multiple divisions and facilitates collaboration among senior leaders and other stakeholders.

-Executive Document Briefing & Preparation: Prepares executive reports, recommendations, presentations, briefing materials, correspondence, and other documents in support of Presidential decision-making.

-System & Stakeholder Liaison: Serves as a liaison between the President and campus leadership, the University System of Georgia (USG), governmental entities, community partners, and other internal and external stakeholders.

-Executive Representation: Represents the President on assigned committees, task forces, meetings, and institutional or community initiatives, communicating Presidential priorities.

-Strategic Institutional Relations: Coordinates matters involving the Board of Regents, accreditation, legislative activities, executive initiatives, and other high-level institutional priorities as assigned.

-Research & Analysis: Conducts research and analysis on complex institutional issues and develops options and recommendations for the President's consideration.

-Discretion & Confidentiality: Exercises discretion in managing sensitive and confidential information and institutional matters with significant operational, reputational, or strategic implications.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution.

Other Required Qualifications
-Position of Trust; successful completion of a background check required.

Required Experience
-Seven years of progressively responsible professional experience involving executive-level support, strategic initiatives, project management, organizational leadership, public administration, higher education, or related areas.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Educational Qualifications
-Masters degree from an accredited institution.

Preferred Experience
-Experience supporting a president, chief executive, governing board, or senior leadership team.
-Experience managing institution-wide strategic initiatives and complex projects.
-Experience in higher education, government, public administration, or a similarly complex organization.
