Executive Director of Marketing

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Arts/Science in a related field such as Marketing or Communications.
  • Minimum of seven years' experience in marketing positions required; proven success in competitive positioning, delivering growth, and new initiative introduction.
  • Demonstrated strength in working collaboratively with peer functions.
  • Prior experience in training and development of marketing staff and management of outside service providers and agencies.
  • Complete understanding of brand marketing mix tools, including media options and consumer research
  • Skilled public speaker and capable company representative.
  • Effective staff and human relations management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated writing, editing, and presentation skills
  • Is tolerant of ambiguity and has a willingness to manage diverse and frequently changing assignments, particularly possessing the ability to do so with a positive attitude in a multi-task environment.
  • Able to work independently with little supervision and to handle multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Is able to read, write, speak and communicate effectively in the English language; has the ability to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the essential functions of the position can be fully met.
  • Is able to relate to and deal tactfully with team members across multiple processes, have strong interpersonal skills and maintain good working relationships with team members, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the general public.
  • Moves packages and supplies weighing up to 25 lbs on a regular basis and up to 50 lbs on an occasional basis.
  • Flexibility required to travel to all ERS locations.
  • Must be fully up to date with required vaccinations.


As the Executive Director of Marketing you can expect to:
  • Manages, develops and oversees the implementation of both external and internal marketing activities to maximize sales of the ERS brand, public position and services. Analyze brand performance, brand competitiveness, and product trends in the marketplace and develops marketing concepts for a brand that align with SLT marketing strategies or campaigns.
  • Leads the development, curation, and deployment of marketing content and identifies effective sales channels.
  • Helps maintain and refines the umbrella brand equity platform for ERS, and on a regular basis assesses and updates industry and market trends, consumer and influencer targets, and current and likely competitive activity.
  • Translates marketing initiatives into specific projects and actionable plans. Works with management and team leaders to identify and implement appropriate sales strategies or improve direction for current campaigns.
  • Supports media relations and may serve as a spokesperson for ERS as designated by executive leadership, coordinating consistent and mission-aligned messaging.
  • Manages day-to-day operations of the marketing team, budget and external partnerships to meet marketing objectives. Manages and develops internal marketing team members, setting clear priorities, assigning work, reviewing performance, and supporting professional growth across the team.
  • Serves as a member on work teams where appropriate.
  • Maintains affiliations and memberships in organizations that foster professional growth and/or furtherance of the ERS mission.
