Experience working patiently with seniors and cognitively impaired individuals.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the overall operations of the community daily.
Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
Oversee team leadership, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
Achieve occupancy and financial objectives in alignment with budgetary guidelines.
Represent the community professionally and foster a welcoming environment for residents.
Respond to and resolve issues effectively, adapting to changing situations and priorities.
Communicate with residents, families, and staff to support community engagement and care.

Full Job Description

Executive Director RCFE

Salary Range: $125,000 - $135,000

The Executive Director is responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day management of the community, ensuring operations align with company policies, standards, guidelines, and applicable regulations. This role oversees all aspects of team leadership, including hiring, training, evaluation, scheduling, and performance management. The Executive Director is accountable for achieving occupancy and financial goals, maintaining budgetary discipline, representing the community with professionalism, and fostering a welcoming and enriching environment for residents.

Qualifications:

Completion of two (2) years of college and at least three (3) years of experience providing residential care to the elderly, or equivalent education and experience as approved by the Department of Social Services.
A valid California Residential Care Facility for the Elderly Certification or Licensed Nursing Home Administrator
Prefer five (5) years of experience supervising and managing employees
Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
Knowledge of and/or ability to learn the theory and practice of assisted living and dementia care
Able to work with seniors and patiently interact with cognitively impaired individuals
Able to be flexible, adapt and respond to change, make decisions in stressful situations, and prioritize tasks and projects.
Able to process information and apply common sense understanding to follow and carry out written or oral instructions.
Able to analyze, solve and respond to problems or concerns.
Able to count and perform moderately complex math problems, read and understand budgets and other financial reports/statements
Able to explain ideas and communicate complex ideas to a wide audience (employees, residents, family members, governmental agencies, public, etc) both in writing and verbally
Must pass a criminal background check and health screening tests, including physical and TB tests
