Full Job Description
Job Summary:

The Executive Director Medical Alumni Foundation will plan and implement Medical Alumni Foundation (MAF) fundraising efforts, including: annual campaign, major gifts, special campaigns and any future capital campaigns. Oversee administrative functions of the office; oversee and monitor finances; serve as ex officio member and advisor of the MAF board; oversee production of all MAF publications and campaign materials. As Chief Fundraising Officer, develop and manage plans to engage MAF's top donors. Cultivate donors in preparation of solicitation for MAF's top funding priorities. Traveling is required to build relationships and solicit donors. This position will also be responsible for the daily supervision of staff members.

Minimum Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of experience in alumni relations and all aspects of fundraising (annual fund, major gifts, planned giving) preferably at an academic institution, with at least four years of supervisory experience. Candidates must be self-motivating, have excellent communications skills and the ability to relate to a wide variety of constituents. A valid driver's license is required as travel is required as is some evening and weekend work.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Master's degree is highly desirable, as is experience in marketing, communications and public relations. Experience working with a volunteer board and committees. Experience in managing prospects (identify, cultivate, solicit and steward). Experience in working with prospect management software such as Raiser's Edge. Familiarity with academic medicine would be an asset.

Work Days:

Monday to Friday 8:30 am / 4:30 pm some evenings and weekends as required.
