Executive Director - Substance Abuse Treatment Facility (Inpatient & Outpatient)Position SummaryThe Executive Director provides leadership and operational oversight for all inpatient and outpatient substance use disorder treatment services. This role is responsible for ensuring exceptional patient care, regulatory compliance, financial performance, staff development, and strategic growth while fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Lead daily operations of inpatient and outpatient treatment programs.
- Ensure compliance with state licensing, CARF/Joint Commission standards, HIPAA, OSHA, and applicable regulations.
- Oversee budgets, financial performance, and operational efficiency.
- Supervise and mentor department leaders while promoting employee engagement and accountability.
- Partner with clinical leadership to ensure high-quality, evidence-based patient care.
- Monitor quality metrics, patient satisfaction, and census growth.
- Develop relationships with referral sources and community partners.
- Lead accreditation surveys, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Support strategic planning and organizational growth.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Behavioral Health, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- Five or more years of progressive healthcare leadership experience.
- Experience leading substance use disorder or behavioral health treatment programs preferred.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, accreditation standards, budgeting, and healthcare operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred Experience- Experience overseeing both inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services.
- Experience with CARF and/or Joint Commission accreditation.
- Multi-site leadership experience is a plus.
