JOB DESCRIPTION
Chase Home Lending is seeking an Executive Director to serve as the execution and delivery leader for Housing Access & Affordability initiatives within the firmwide American Dream Initiative (ADI). ADI is a strategic, enterprise-wide effort focused on expanding access to affordable homeownership and strengthening communities, supported by JPMorgan Chase's $750 billion housing commitment over the next decade.
As the Executive Director, Housing Access & Affordability within Chase Home Lending you will translate strategy into measurable outcomes by driving day-to-day execution, coordinate cross-functional delivery, and ensuring disciplined progress against key priorities. You will partner across Home Lending, Product, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Corporate Responsibility, Commercial Real Estate, and other stakeholders to deliver impactful initiatives that promote sustainable homeownership and housing affordability.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned operator with deep housing industry expertise, exceptional program management capabilities, and a demonstrated ability to drive results within complex, matrixed organizations.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead execution and delivery of Housing Access & Affordability initiatives within the American Dream Initiative, ensuring strategic priorities are translated into measurable business outcomes.
- Develop and manage delivery roadmaps, including milestones, ownership, dependencies, timelines, success measures, and execution plans.
- Establish and maintain disciplined program management practices, including workplans, risk and issue management, action tracking, governance routines, and escalation processes.
- Drive implementation of programs, partnerships, and business initiatives from concept through launch and ongoing sustainment.
- Build and maintain a forward-looking pipeline of opportunities, including program expansions, partnership development, and product or process enhancements.
- Evaluate opportunities based on impact, scalability, operational readiness, and risk considerations, and develop recommendations for prioritization.
- Coordinate and influence cross-functional stakeholders across Product, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Fair Lending, Corporate Responsibility, and other business partners to achieve shared objectives.
- Participate in firmwide ADI forums and working groups, ensuring commitments, decisions, and action items are effectively tracked and executed.
- Prepare executive-level presentations, status updates, briefing materials, and governance reports that support leadership decision-making.
- Partner with analytics, strategy, risk, and control teams to establish performance metrics, monitor results, and ensure responsible execution within applicable governance frameworks.
- Identify opportunities to scale delivery capacity and execution effectiveness while supporting the onboarding and management of additional resources as business needs evolve.
Required qualifications, skills and capabilities
- Proven Executive Director-caliber operator with a demonstrated ability to drive execution and deliver results through influence in a highly matrixed organization.
- Strong prioritization and program management skills, with the ability to lead multiple concurrent workstreams and establish clear accountability and outcomes.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop executive-ready presentations, updates, and decision-support materials.
- Demonstrated operational excellence with strong attention to governance, documentation, action tracking, quality control, and follow-through.
- Significant mortgage-related experience in areas such as Sales, Product Management, Policy, Capital Markets, Lending Strategy, or related functions.
- Deep housing expertise extending beyond mortgage lending, including affordable housing, community development, housing policy, housing finance, subsidy and assistance programs, public-private partnerships, and nonprofit or government housing initiatives.
- Demonstrated understanding of barriers to housing access and homeownership, and a commitment to advancing sustainable homeownership opportunities.
Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities
- Experience partnering with regulatory and compliance stakeholders in highly regulated environments.
- Demonstrated success leading complex enterprise initiatives involving program management, governance, performance measurement, and operating cadence development.
- Data literacy and experience leveraging housing-related datasets and market indicators, including HMDA, housing market data, and macroeconomic trends.
- Ability to translate quantitative insights into actionable business recommendations and strategic opportunities.
- Proven track record of innovative thinking, including identifying new opportunities, piloting solutions, and scaling successful initiatives in complex organizations.
What Success Looks Like (First 3–6 Months)
- Influence and align stakeholders around ADI priorities and execution goals.
- Establish effective operating routines, governance processes, trackers, decision logs, and escalation pathways that improve execution velocity and accountability.
- Deliver consistent, executive-ready updates that clearly communicate progress, risks, decisions, and required actions.
- Successfully launch or advance meaningful initiatives, partnerships, pilots, or program enhancements according to plan.
- Build and maintain a visible pipeline of future opportunities to sustain momentum and support long-term growth and impact.
