Compensation Consulting Senior Associate (Global Employer Solutions)

In this role, you will support clients across industries by advising on a wide range of compensation programs, with a focus on executive compensation. From day one, you'll be empowered by formal training opportunities, experiential (on the job) training and access to industry leading expertise to help you develop a broad and deep technical skill set along with increased business acumen to help you achieve more, confidently.

Your day-to-day may include:
  • Benchmarking executive compensation, broad-based compensation, sales compensation, and/or physician compensation and developing recommendations based on comprehensive market analysis
  • Supporting the design, implementation, administration of short- and long-term incentive plans, deferred compensation arrangements, and salary structures
  • Conducting compensation diligence and integration support for M&A transactions
  • Executing project plans, preparing client deliverables, and supporting marketing efforts
  • Working closely with project teams to deliver an integrated approach to client service
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the partners, managing directors, senior managers, directors and/or managers


You have the following technical skills and qualifications:
  • 1-4 years of related work experience in compensation and consulting
  • Education requirements: Minimum Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university. Advanced degree or professional designation preferred but not required, e.g., J.D., C.P.A. CCP, PHR
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality client service, with a strong client-facing mindset and focus on relationship management
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office software, namely Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written, presentation, leadership, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work assignments based on internal/external deadlines and competing client demands
  • Able to work independently while also contributing to team environment
  • Ability to supervise staff and lead engagements
  • Ability to travel as needed


The base salary range for this position is between $101,200 and $129,030. Placement within the pay range is at Grant Thornton's discretion, and it is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, progression within the role, geographic location, and internal equity. At Grant Thornton, compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
