Full Job Description
Technologist is seeking an Excellence Architect/Space Planner to support our work in Colorado Springs, CO. This is a full-time position onsite at Peterson SFB.

Perform design review, project programming, construction management/monitoring duties and improvement projects of real property facilities and infrastructure. Reviews furniture designs approved as contract by requestor service tasks at the Work Request Review Board.

Applies architectural principles, evaluates design objectives, and identifies the most economical and efficient procedures for facility design and performance, considering all functional and aesthetic requirements.

Develops architectural standards for various facility types, updates and maintains the installation architectural compatibility standards and incorporates them into the Installation Facilities Standards (IFS) program for the installation.

Performs installation facility space analysis, planning, execution, and optimization efforts. Interprets facility space standards, real property (RP) guidance and project programming rules to support efficient development and sustainment of the installation facility space footprint.

Maintains installation Facility Space Optimization Plan, Customer Authorization Workbooks, and customer allocations in NexGen IT space planning module.

Coordinates projects with other engineers in a variety of disciplines, architects, and planners as well as contracting officers, tenant organization representatives, and construction agents such as from private contracting companies, Army Corps of Engineers, AF Civil Engineer Center, and AF Installation Mission Support Center.

Relevant experience includes, but is not limited to, a comprehensive knowledge of engineering principles and analytical techniques to support complex engineering assignments. Additionally, strong experience utilizing all facets of Microsoft Office applications is required.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in architecture or engineering.

At least 5 (five) years of experience in architectural design, review and standards development.

At least 5 (five) years of experience utilizing Microsoft Office applications.

Familiarity with AutoCAD & Revit tools.

What Is Nice to Have:

2 years' or more of Department of the Air Force (DAF) Civil Engineering experience.
