Job Summary:

 

The Event Planner is responsible for coordinating and executing customer, dealer and internal business partner events that support business objectives and enhance the Caterpillar experience. This role manages event logistics, budgeting, scheduling, vendor coordination, communications, and onsite execution while ensuring compliance with Caterpillar policies and standards. The ideal candidate has working knowledge of Caterpillar processes, systems, and internal procedures, enabling them to effectively collaborate across business units, navigate organizational requirements, and deliver high-quality events with minimal supervision. Strong project management, communication, and customer service skills are essential for success in this role.

 

What You Will Do:

 

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute onsite and offsite events from concept through completion.
  • Manage event timelines, budgets, contracts, and logistics.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, customers, dealers, and suppliers.
  • Utilize Caterpillar systems and processes to support event planning, reporting, billing and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure events align with company objectives, brand standards, and safety guidelines.
  • Track event metrics and provide post-event reporting and recommendations.

Relationship Management:
Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Experience planning corporate, customer, dealer, or marketing events.
  • Familiarity with Caterpillar processes, systems, and organizational structure.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Summary Pay Range:

$72,360.00 - $108,540.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
