  • Apply advanced estimating techniques and analysis within the discipline.
  • Engage with project team members across all design disciplines and third-party consultants.
  • Draft estimate plans, scope reviews, and compile estimate data for documentation.

Full Job Description
Requirements:
  • Experience with Mining, Minerals, Battery Material, Refining, Oil, Gas, LNG and Chemical Estimating core processes and procedures.
  • Good knowledge and experience in EPC estimating practices and methods.
  • Good Understanding of project management and construction management concepts.
  • Knowledge of the estimating process to develop conceptual estimates.
  • Customer Interface - Build strong relationships with key clients and grow business through consistent team performance
  • Ability to develop forced detail estimates with limited engineering input.
  • Ability to develop an indirect staffing plan and other indirect construction cost.
  • Ability to develop site specific contracting strategy and develop site contractor wage rates.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position
  • Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others.
  • Ability to analytically think and meet an aggressive due date.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing technologies, processes and tools for estimating.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS In Engineering or Construction Management

Preferred:
  • Local candidates in Houston strongly preferred
  • Proficient in Aspen Capital Cost Estimator (ACCE) and or Cleopatra as well as Microsoft software.
  • Thorough experience in technical, practical and leadership experience in the relevant discipline, including experience in project engineering and management with estimating expertise.


Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop various phases of FEL Estimates (Conceptual to Detailed).
  • Responsible for Indirect field cost estimates and working with proprietary indirect modeling tool, strong excel capability a plus.
  • Delivering of Capital Cost Estimates with focus on enhancing accuracy and execution.
  • Performs in an Estimator capacity developing cost estimate on small projects/proposals.
  • Responsible for independently applying advanced estimating techniques and analysis within the discipline.
  • Interaction with project team members from all design disciplines including project management, client reps, and others 3rd party consultants.
  • Write estimate plans, review scope of work, develop & assemble estimate data, review estimates (discipline, management, client), and write estimate basis document with qualifications & assumptions.
  • Participate in estimate reviews and presentations with management, Project Manager and project team members.
