Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years' experience estimating in earthwork/energy scope preferred.
• Understanding of earthwork, including mass haul and site balance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Skilled in assuming responsibility and managing time effectively.
• Proficient with software such as HCSS Heavy Bid, Trimble Business Center, BlueBeam, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Primavera P6, Building Connected, and Viewpoint.

Responsibilities

• Prepare proposal estimates for heavy civil construction projects.
• Review proposal specifications and drawings to define scope of work.
• Calculate complete takeoff for estimating purposes.
• Develop accurate estimated costs for project scope.
• Maintain and update estimating cost database.
• Review design options and recommend cost-effective solutions.
• Obtain bids from subcontractors to support project estimates.
