ESTIMATORWe are seeking an Estimator to develop accurate cost estimates and production timelines for CNC machining projects to support competitive pricing and profitable project execution.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Establish and maintain accurate cycle times for CNC machining operations, including mills and lathes.
- Analyze customer requirements, drawings, specifications, and manufacturing processes to develop accurate cost estimates and project timelines.
- Generate and analyze cost estimates for production jobs.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, purchasing, and sales teams to ensure estimates reflect manufacturing capabilities and requirements.
- Collect and track material costs to support accurate pricing and budgeting.
- Gather and evaluate finishing costs to ensure complete cost assessments.
- Support manufacturing operations by performing Process Engineering functions as needed.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS - Functions as a member of a customer-driven quality team, ensuring product quality requirements are met with limited supervision and a strong commitment to quality.
- Demonstrates strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain diplomatic and work effectively with others.
- Takes accountability for meeting project commitments, effectively prioritizing tasks, multitasking, and maintaining flexibility to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Possesses thorough operational knowledge of assigned equipment and the ability to operate it safely and efficiently.
- Accurately tracks and records time spent and materials used.
- High school diploma or equivalent required, associate's degree preferred.
- Vocational or Trade School a plus but not required.
- At least five years' experience in manufacturing or related field required, experience estimating CNC production jobs preferred.
- Working knowledge of CNC machining processes, including mills and lathes, with the ability to estimate cycle times and tooling requirements.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.

According to the New York Pay Transparency law, pay range for this job is $90,000 - $125,000 / annual salary. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
