Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, or engineering, or 5-10 years' relevant experience
• In-depth knowledge of construction principles and practices
• Proven experience in estimating self-performed earthwork and site utilities
• Familiarity with MS Excel, On-Screen Take-Off, HCSS estimating software, and AGTEK Earthwork
• Experience in subcontracting and managing subcontractors
• Self-starter with strong motivational skills and the ability to build trust
• Excellent communication skills tailored to varied audiences.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review bid documents, ensuring timely submission of bids and estimates
• Conduct accurate quantity take-offs to inform project estimates
• Assist in developing execution plans and win strategies for bids
• Create detailed, annotated estimates for targeted projects
• Compile comprehensive proposals including necessary bid forms and documentation
• Solicit and manage subcontractors and vendors during the preconstruction phase
• Engage in peer bid and contract reviews for compliance
• Conduct weekly follow-ups on previous bid projects and update status
• Support project managers with estimate-related questions during project execution
• Cultivate client relationships while collaborating with Business Development for new opportunities.
