The Law Office of Lena A. Clark is looking for an experienced Estate Planning Attorney who is exceptional with people to join our Estate Planning and Probate law firm in downtown Frederick, Maryland.

We are looking for a confident, persuasive attorney who enjoys meeting with prospective clients, quickly builds trust, asks the right questions, and can help people move past uncertainty and make decisions about protecting their families. You should be comfortable discussing fees, addressing concerns and objections, explaining the value of sophisticated Estate Planning, and asking a prospective client to move forward when our services are the right solution for them.

This is a newly created position that will supplement our established Estate Planning Department with two attorneys and two paralegals. You will be joining an existing team and systems, not building a practice from scratch. You will not be expected to bring a book of business. The firm provides prospective clients and the professional and administrative support necessary to serve them.

Qualifications
• 3+ years of substantive Estate Planning experience.
• Active license to practice law in Maryland and in good standing.
• Strong substantive knowledge of Estate Planning, including Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Advance Medical Directives, and related planning documents.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to quickly establish trust and rapport with prospective and existing clients.
• Confident, persuasive communicator who is comfortable discussing fees, addressing concerns and objections, and helping prospective clients make decisions.
• Comfortable speaking in front of groups and participating in educational seminars, webinars, and community presentations.
• Willingness to participate in occasional evening or after-hours Estate Planning seminars and events.
• A genuine interest in the client-facing and growth side of an Estate Planning practice.
