Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of claims handling experience in Workers Compensation.
• Experience with multiple jurisdictions and requisite Adjuster Licenses recommended.
• Proven ability in business and personnel management practices, supported by management training or equivalent work experience.
• Experienced in leading organizational change and implementing claims management best practices.
• Knowledge of team building and continuous quality improvement techniques.
• Strong leadership capability to coach and develop team members to achieve goals.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Claims Representatives in investigating and settling claims for prompt and fair service.
• Review initial claims, verify coverage, and address qualification issues for claims processing.
• Assign tasks and delegate settlement authority to Claims Representatives; manage cases outside their scope.
• Oversee investigations and ensure timely communication and equitable claims settlements.
• Establish and adjust loss reserves reflecting company liabilities based on claims assessments.
• Directly settle claims when appropriate, and evaluate the performance of Claims Representatives.
• Initiate subrogation processes and manage claims in litigation through coordination with Claims Attorneys.
• Participate in HR processes like performance evaluations, training, and recruitment for team staffing.
