Responsibilities

  • Respond to equipment emergency downtimes and troubleshoot for root cause
  • Support weekend preventative maintenance and repairs
  • Assist in plant shutdown activities
  • Facilitate new equipment installations and modifications
  • Report problem causes and propose countermeasures
  • Document all equipment activities in the Equipment Management System (Maximo)
  • Attend shift meetings and provide cross-functional support

Pay Information

$37.13 - $42.43 hourly

Job Purpose

The job roles and responsibilities are all encompassing in the support and upkeep of the production manufacturing equipment across the production departments. The duties range from Emergency call response during production hours to project and preventative maintenance activities during non-production hours.

Key Accountabilities

  • Respond to equipment emergency downtime, troubleshooting for root cause and repair as needed
  • Support weekend preventative maintenance and repair activity
  • Support plant shutdown activity
  • Support new equipment installations and equipment modifications
  • Report problem causes and countermeasures
  • Document all equipment activity in the Equipment Mgmt. System (Maximo)
  • Daily reporting of downtime and equipemnt modifications
  • Attendance at shift meetings
  • Cross Functional support of plant / production department critical themes


Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

Minimum Educational Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Two-year degree (Electrical / Mechanical / Industrial) or equivalent maintenance experience


Minimum Experience:
  • Motoman robotic experience preferred
  • PLC experience preferred
  • Mechanical and electrical experience preferred


Other Job-Specific Skills:
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair: robots, servo systems, electrical systems, automated machinery and mechanical systems
  • Able to interpret electrical, mechanical and hydraulic prints
  • Good computer skills
  • Strong decision making skills with ability to implement efficiently


Working Conditions

  • Manufacturing environment with three shifts of operation
  • 90% production floor activity w/ 10% off-line related
  • Potential for 5 - 10 hours of overtime per week which can include weekends and or holidays
  • Sporadic travel for training and equipment build events
