Equipment Sales Representative

As an Equipment Sales Representative at Power Drive Supply, you will play a vital role in the daily sales operation of our equipment business. You will be responsible for generating revenue and various tasks that contribute to the generation of revenue and efficiently managing sales inventory. Your efforts will support a commitment to our core values, while ensuring a safe and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Acquisition: Prospect (hunt) for new customers through cold-calling, site visits, networking, referrals, follow up on online leads, and answering incoming customer calls. Maintain and expand relationships with existing customers for repeating business or additional sales opportunities (farming).
  • Sales: Sell equipment to existing and new customers. Conduct equipment walk-arounds/showings, demos, and inspections at the yard to highlight features, condition, and value to prospect.
  • Closing Sales: Qualify the buyer's needs, negotiate price and terms, prepare quotes/offers, and close sales (including financing coordination if applicable).
  • Customer Satisfaction: Follow up on sales leads, inquiries, and post-sale support to ensure customer satisfaction and generate repeated/referral business opportunities.
  • Inventory Tracking/Pricing: Stay informed on current inventory, market pricing trends, and competitor offerings, to position equipment competitively.
  • Documentation: Document all sales activities, customer interactions, and deals in the company system (CMR or logs) for accurate tracking and forecasting.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with Purchaser (for inventory needs), mechanics/foreman (for repair status), and yard laborer (for equipment prep/movement) to ensure a smooth sales process.

  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional client visits.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in sales is an advantage.
