Equipment Maintenance Technician 4 (Days) - Wet CleansAs an
Equipment Maintenance Technician (Wet Cleans), you will support the performance, reliability, and uptime of wet clean semiconductor manufacturing equipment within a cleanroom environment. This role is critical to maintaining process integrity through chemical cleaning systems that prepare wafers for downstream processing.
You will be working with chemical delivery systems, fluid handling, and wet process tools, while collaborating closely with engineers to troubleshoot, maintain, and improve equipment.
Shift: Days 2, Thurs-Sat, and alt Wed, 6am-6pm
The responsibilities and duties may include but are not limited to the following:
- Monitor equipment in the area and be familiar with equipment and process related issues within the module.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance.
- Initiate and direct advanced troubleshooting and repairs. The focus is on identifying root causes and implementing long-term fixes.
- Create and/or modify procedures and PM specifications to improve tool availability or enhance training of other technicians.
- Project management. Special projects may be assigned to improve tool reliability and reduce the scrap risk of equipment failures. Projects include:
- Leading or assisting with equipment upgrades, modification, and installation.
- Interfacing with tool vendors on tool recovery.
- Reporting on project status on a regular basis.
- Ensuring timelines are met and escalating when metrics are at risk of missing target.
- Perform data analysis of tool performance on assigned tool and drive improvement activities based on data.
- Use Statistical Process Control (SPC) to troubleshoot and determine the health of tools in the area.
- Maintain a clean working area and follow 5S principles during repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Follow safety procedures and expectations which include knowledge of hazards and necessary precautions for assigned tool set(s) and following Lock out/Tag Out procedures. Adhere to all clean room protocols and procedures.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed.
- Ability and willingness to share expert knowledge with younger technicians to help elevate the overall ability of the group.
- Broad knowledge of electronic, mechanical, robotic, pneumatic, vacuum, chemical, and gas delivery systems related to semiconductor manufacturing.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Electronics/Electromechanical/Laser technology/Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology
- Five or more years of experience as an equipment technician maintaining semiconductor processing equipment, specifically on SST, Sicconex SAT/SIST, SEZ, and FSI Mercury tooling
- Excellent communication skills with internal customers (Operations, Process Engineering, Management)
- Excellent attention to detail and follow up.
- Ability to troubleshoot to component level when necessary.
- Experienced in the use of schematics, hand tools, DVM, oscilloscope, power supply calibration equipment and similar common diagnostic test equipment.
- Able to lift/push/pull/carry up to 35lbs unassisted.
- Able to lift/push/pull/carry more than 35lbs with assistance.

The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $35 to $52.50.
