Equipment Maintenance Manager
SUMMARY
The Equipment Maintenance Manager acts as the lead mechanic and is responsible for creating and implementing programs for maintenance, repair and routine inspections . This position reports to the Sr. F&E Manager , or another management personnel that the CEO of the Company may designate. This position is located in person at the Ankeny, IA shop and working hours are Monday through Friday, from 7 :00am to 3:30 pm or 8 :00am to 4 :30 pm local time .
This position is expected to travel up to 20 %.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, Implement , and contribute to standardized maintenance programs for company-owned heavy equipment.
- Assist in preparation of SOPs, Standardized Work Instructions, project mechanic tool kit development, and any other documentation related to maintenance operations.
- Assist F&E Management with screening of new mechanic applicants.
- Maintain detailed tracking on the maintenance status of all owned Qcells equipment .
- Tracks, updates, and records all warranty claims and safety recalls .
- Provide Guidance and assistance to project mechanics to include - repair guidance, parts lookup /ordering, and vendor coordination.
- Review & validate vendor invoices for equipment and fleet related repairs (owned and rented assets) .
- Track and report on estimated times of completion for assets under maintenance and repair.
- Review and address work orders and maintenance logs from Qcells mechanics.
- Perform inspections, repairs, and maintenance on heavy equipment in the Ankeny Shop.
- Inspect, disassemble, and rebuild hydraulic cylinders and hammers.
- Communicate issues with site mechanics and relay information to Equipment Coordinators.
- Coordinate with vendors for parts, schematics, diagrams, and scheduling service.
- Manage equipment waste storage and disposal through approved vendors.
- Maintain daily logs of issues and report safety concerns to the Sr. F&E Manager.
- Adhere to all company policies and site-specific procedures.
- Maintain regular attendance per company policy.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Required experience- 4 year s as a heavy equipment mechanic with extensive experience with diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Office, and Outlook. Experience with database systems and fleet and equipment management software.
- Experience rebuilding hydraulic cylinder/rams (Hydraulic hammers is desired )
- Must be able to read and apply data from schematics , diagrams and parts manuals
- Strong communication and vendor relationship skills
- Must hav e field experience.
Certifications/Licenses
- Valid Drivers License, Must pass and clear MVR , ( Class B License preferred, but not required )
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working on Pile Diving equipment.
- Experience rebuilding hydraulic hammers.
- Experience with Small engine repair.

- Climb: occasionally ascends/descends on site equipment as needed for inspection, maintenance, or repair.

- Regular professional, Construction shop and Worksite setting .
- Noise level ranges from low to moderate (if in office setting)
- Noise level ranges from moderate to high (if on construction worksite)
- Under the Office Mobilization Plan (OMP) policy, the role may transition to an onsite or hybrid arrangement, as determined by business needs and the Head of Department
