Full Job Description
Support Center As an Epic Application Manager, you will: • Leads assigned Epic application teams through implementation, optimization, testing, integrated workflows, go-live planning, stabilization, upgrades and ongoing support while ensuring project scope, quality, and timelines are achieved. • Directly supervises Epic application analysts, including work assignments, performance management, professional development, resource allocation, workload balancing, coaching, and hiring support. • Coordinates application activities with the Project Director, project managers, operational leaders, technical teams, vendors, training, testing, reporting, and other application teams to ensure integrated delivery across the enterprise. • Oversees application support, upgrades and optimization, including issue management, risk identification, escalation, workflow decisions, change control, integrated planning, and leadership status reporting. • Ensures application build, workflow design, testing, validation, integrated readiness, cutover preparation, and production support activities meet organizational standards and Epic implementation practices. • Partners with operational leaders, clinical stakeholders, revenue cycle leaders, physician champions, subject matter experts, and Epic representatives to ensure application solutions support operational, regulatory, and patient care objectives. • Develops team capabilities through mentoring, performance feedback, certification planning, knowledge transfer, and continuous process improvement initiatives. • Maintains expertise in Epic application functionality, healthcare technology trends, interoperability concepts, implementation methods, and organizational priorities. Qualifications include: • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in information technology, healthcare administration, clinical informatics, business administration, computer science, nursing, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. • Minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in a clinical area and information technology, including electronic health record implementation, application support, clinical informatics, healthcare operations, or related healthcare technology experience. • Minimum of three (3) years of management experience preferred. Experience leading application teams, technical staff, or healthcare information technology initiatives is preferred. • Additional Epic certifications or proficiencies preferred • Project Management Professional preferred • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred • Experience leading Epic implementations, upgrades, optimization initiatives, and application governance is preferred. Experience supporting integrated workflows across multiple Epic applications and using IT service management practices is preferred. Work Schedule: Employment Type: Full-time Hours per Week: 40 hours/week Typical Daily Schedule: 8 am-5 pm, Monday through Friday Shift Type: Day Shift Holiday Requirements: Follow the company holiday calendar Ability to participate in after-hours support, cutovers, go-live activities, and major-incident response as needed. Occasional travel may be required for training, project work, or vendor coordination. Pay Range: $116,227.90 - $174,341.85 If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
