Overview

The Environmental Project Manager I provides project oversight of various environmental Hazardous Material (HM), Hazardous Waste (HW), and Fence-to-Fence (F2F) contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project issues with the COR, GSA or Corp of Engineer Representatives.
  • Coordinate with Installation Program Managers at the base level
  • Manage team activities, schedule/coordinate project deliverables.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors as necessary to ensure timely deliverables and schedules.
  • Develop monthly/quarterly reports, support project personnel, and meet schedules.
  • Prepare and lead/brief monthly/quarterly Contractor Progress Meetings with Installation, Prime contractor, GSA and/or Corp of Engineers
  • Conduct site visits with focus on HM/HW project management
  • Understand RCRA compliance requirements and stays current on updates.
  • Audit effectiveness of installation EESOH-MIS HM tracking system
  • Complete reviews of Hazardous Waste generation and tracking.
  • Evaluate and document 90-Day storage facility compliance and provide guidance.
  • Monitor and track HW recycling and industrial recycling activities.
  • Ensure project requirements and deliverables are accomplished.
  • Update project SharePoint to ensure audit readiness.
  • Perform monthly invoicing.
  • Participate and assist in leading on-site team activities.
  • Aid in management of deliverables
  • Work with a high level of client awareness and adaptability
  • Ensure Quality Control of tasks and products.
  • Supervise up to 10 employees.
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Minimum three (3) years' experience in HM/HW management may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Minimum two (2) years' relevant experience in combination of the following disciplines:
    • Hazardous Materials Management
    • DoD Hazardous Waste operations (90-Day)
    • DOT HW Transportation Regulations
  • Minimum two (2) years relevant experience in HM/HW management


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field Preferred


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Possess exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Possess organizational, and attention to detail skills
  • Knowledge of RCRA guidelines
  • Experience in Project Management
  • Experience with DoD Hazardous Materials Management
  • Experience and familiarity with the Enterprise Environmental Safety and Occupational Health-Management Information System (EESOH-MIS).
  • In-depth knowledge of DoD Hazardous Waste operations & 90-Day management
  • Ability to travel.
