Environmental, Health & Safety Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to oversee and ensure the safety, health, and environmental compliance of our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs, regulatory compliance standards, and environmental management systems to promote a safe workplace. This role requires strong expertise in OSHA, EPA regulations, hazardous materials handling, workers' compensation law, and occupational health standards. The EHS Manager will serve as a key leader in fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility across the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies aligned with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards to ensure workplace safety and environmental compliance.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Lead incident investigations including root cause analysis; prepare detailed report writing to document findings and preventive measures.
  • Oversee hazardous materials regulations compliance, ensuring proper storage, handling, disposal, and documentation of hazardous substances.
  • Manage workers' compensation claims process in accordance with legal requirements and company policies.
  • Coordinate employee training programs on workplace safety, hazard recognition, emergency response (including CPR and first aid), OSHA standards, environmental management systems, and other relevant topics.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to emissions, waste management, water use, and other environmental health standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory/legal compliance standards in production environments to prevent violations.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in EH&S or related educational background and 2 years experience as Environment Health and Safety Coordinator, prefer in manufacturing environment
  • Proven experience in manufacturing or industrial settings with a strong understanding of workplace safety protocols.
  • Extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA standards, hazardous materials regulations, workers' compensation law, and environmental regulatory compliance.
  • Certifications such as First Aid & CPR certification are highly desirable; additional certifications in OSHA or environmental management systems are preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in occupational health & environmental health practices including hazard analysis and root cause analysis.
  • Strong report writing skills with the ability to analyze data effectively for continuous improvement initiatives.
