ERM is hiring motivated, hands-on
Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) Technicians to support our key technology client onsite in
Albany, NY. This is a full-time, dayshift, split-schedule (3 days on, 4 days off, 4 days on, 3 days off), limited-term role with a duration of
6 months.
The ideal candidate will have EHS experience with large equipment mechanical installation and commissioning activities in the semi-conductor industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Observe mechanical installation and commissioning activities, identifying and communicating potential compliance gaps, hazards, and solutions.
- Perform compliance and system audits to assess project compliance with applicable EHS regulatory requirements, client standards, or management systems.
- Review, evaluate, and sign off Safety Review Board and Permit to Work forms.
- Verify all Drager's and PPE is being correctly utilized, and shark cages are organized and secure with required supplies.
- Be the voice of the engineers and technicians for safety needs. Escalate issues and provide improvement ideas and feedback to client on a weekly basis.
- Support our client's desire to improve safety performance by providing field coaching and targeted EHS assessments.
- Correct and track issues until closed. Identify follow-up corrective actions to close audit findings.
- Maintain accurate records and analyze data in Excel; utilize Outlook and Teams for communication, calendar management, and scheduling meetings.
- Support and attend Safety Committee Meetings and Safety Walks as needed.
- Support Emergency Action Plan and drill as scheduled.
- Upon request by client EHS personnel, assist with near miss/incident investigation process.
REQUIREMENTS:- Associate or bachelor's degree preferred. Degree in the EHS field is a plus.
- 1-3 years of experience providing EHS support with an emphasis on health and safety and mechanical installation and commissioning.
- OSHA 30-hour Construction training is a plus
- Understand and implement OSHA requirements, standard operating procedures, health and safety plans, job hazard analysis, emergency response plans, risk assessment processes, behavioral safety programs, and contractor safety management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Teams programs.
- Demonstrated understanding of regulatory compliance and reporting processes.
- Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills; experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports.
- Familiarity with manufacturing safety requirements, waste management (hazardous, non-hazardous, universal, electronic), environmental reporting (HMBPs), and chemical safety requirements.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Position requires the use of a cleanroom gown/suit as a part of the standard protective gear in controlled environments.
Pay Transparency: For the
Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) Technicians position, we anticipate the annual base pay of
$71,801.60 - $90,417.60, $34.52/hr - $43.47/hr USD, limited-term, non-exempt. An employee's pay position within this range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. We also may have instances where employee's fall outside of the range based on the factors noted above. This job may be eligible for bonus pay (casual and fixed term/Flexforce employees are NOT bonus eligible).
