Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) in Rancho Cucamonga is currently looking for an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our team! They will be reporting to our Director of Human Resources at our aerospace foundry in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.
Position Summary The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining programs that ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations while promoting a safe and healthy workplace. This role partners with all levels of the organization to minimize risk, prevent injuries, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Salary: $80K - $100K DOE Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, and other applicable requirements).
- Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Investigate workplace incidents, injuries, and near misses; determine root causes and recommend preventive measures.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and supervisors.
- Maintain safety records, reports, permits, and documentation required by regulatory agencies.
- Coordinate emergency response procedures, evacuation plans, and safety drills.
- Monitor and manage hazardous waste, chemical handling, and environmental compliance activities.
- Support workers' compensation and return-to-work programs as needed.
- Collaborate with department managers to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Track safety metrics and prepare reports for management.
- Participate in new equipment, process, and facility reviews to ensure safety requirements are incorporated.
- Stay current on regulatory changes and industry best practices.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA requirements, and applicable safety standards.
- Experience conducting incident investigations and implementing corrective actions.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Certifications - OSHA 30-Hour Certification
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
- Associate Safety Professional (ASP)
- First Aid/CPR Certification
