Job Description
The EHS Manager is responsible for ensuring site compliance with applicable safety legislation and corporate safety standards.
Responsibilities
Ensure regulatory compliance in operations for both safety and environment.
Drive initiatives that will maintain or improve the safety culture at all sites.
Lead and support all site HS&E Specialist who are direct reports.
Drive accountability and consistency regarding HS&E standards across the sites.
Ensure the Irving values around Health, Safety, and Environment are instilled in all employees.
Perform regular plant tours to ensure safety and environmental stewardship is a priority and being driven by site management and supervision.
Ensure Intelex is effectively used, and site corrective actions are addressed in a timely manner. Assistance with serious incidents and investigations will be required.
Ensure site reporting to Environmental Regulations and Reporting, including environmental incidents.
Monthly reporting of KPI's and overall, Health, Safety, and Environment Update.
Oversee and assist with the application of ISN at the site.
Collaborate and communicate regularly with other HS&E Managers at other sites.
Ensure there is a structured Safety Training Program at the site with accurate proof of training documentation
Oversee the Environmental Management Program at the site.
Attend JOSHC, Crew, Planning, Engineering, and Senior Management meetings. Provide coaching and guidance for all HS&E issues when required.
Qualifications
Post Secondary Education in a safety related field
> 5 years in a manufacturing environment
> 10 years in a safety leadership role
CRSP, CHSC, CHSE, or equivalent and/or 5 years' experience in Safety Leadership Role
