As the Environment Health Safety (EHS) Manager at our Portsmouth site, you will lead our EHS team and champion local safety programs to ensure a safe, compliant, and thriving working environment. By partnering with cross-functional teams, you will actively reduce risk, improve safety performance, and maintain strict compliance with regulatory requirements. This dynamic role balances strategic leadership, hands-on support, and continuous improvement to protect our people, operations, and the environment. What you will do:- Lead and develop a team of EHS professionals to support site safety performance.
- Develop and maintain site safety programs to ensure regulatory compliance and risk reduction.
- Partner with teams across the site to support safe operations and drive safety culture.
- Lead safety inspections, audits, and regulatory readiness activities.
- Conduct and support risk assessments for new processes, equipment, and changes.
- Deliver safety training and promote awareness across employees and contractors.
- Seek and implement continuous improvement opportunities and work with site leadership to implement.
What we are looking for:- Bachelor's degree in EHS, engineering, or a science-related field required.
- Proven experience in leadership roles with 10+ years of experience in EHS, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or a related environment.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., OSHA).
- Experience leading safety programs, audits, and risk assessments.
- Proven ability to lead teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels.
- Comfortable working in operational environments, including occasional physical tasks. such as walking the site, climbing stairs or ladders, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
