Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Site ManagerLocation: Belle Mead, NJ

Position SummaryCMI is seeking an experienced EHS Site Manager to lead environmental, health, and safety programs at a manufacturing facility in Belle Mead, NJ. This hands-on leadership role will drive regulatory compliance, risk reduction, injury prevention, environmental performance, and continuous improvement while partnering closely with site leadership and operations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and continuously improve site EHS programs and initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and applicable state and local regulations.
- Conduct facility inspections, audits, hazard assessments, and risk assessments.
- Lead incident and near-miss investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Manage environmental programs, including waste, stormwater, wastewater, air emissions, chemicals, and hazardous materials.
- Develop and deliver EHS training and manage contractor safety programs.
- Maintain required permits, records, regulatory submissions, and EHS documentation.
- Support ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
- Track and communicate EHS metrics, trends, and performance.
- Lead emergency preparedness and response activities.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, HR, and other site functions to strengthen safety culture and reduce operational risk.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
- 7-10 years of EHS experience, including at least 3 years in an EHS leadership or management role.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulatory requirements.
- Manufacturing or industrial EHS experience strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, investigation, and problem-solving skills.
- CSP, CIH, NEBOSH, or similar professional EHS certification preferred.
