As an Environmental & Energy Specialist, you will be responsible for leading the environmental and energy program at the St. Joseph factory to ensure compliance through monitoring, measuring, analyzing, reporting and management of permits. You will partner with internal and external sustainability experts to identify improvement opportunities aligned with Nestle9's Net Zero by 2050 strategy. To attain this sustainability strategy, you will champion measures to reduce waste and minimize environmental impact while increasing efficiency. You will identify, develop, justify and oversee improvement projects to ensure environmental compliance and align with company goals.
- Maintain ISO 14001 certification and continuously improve the environmental management system for the factory
- Oversee the management of waste in compliance with Zero Waste to Landfill guidelines
- Complete timely permit renewals or changes for air, water, wastewater, stormwater, and any other environmental regulatory requirements
- Complete timely external compliance reporting for air, water, wastewater, stormwater, and any other environmental regulatory requirements
- Complete timely internal compliance reporting for Energy, Environmental and Sustainability requirements
- Review and process monthly invoices for energy, water and waste
- Administer waste disposal contracts (waste slurry, sludge, solid waste, hazardous waste, recyclables, etc.) and maintain relationships with service providers
- Develop and justify capital projects to support energy and environmental improvements that are aligned with improving compliance and achieving Net Zero by 2050
- Coordinate and align factory team with divisional Environmental and Energy team on strategic goals, priorities and measures
Requirements- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or related discipline
- 2+ years of experience leading environmental and energy programs in a manufacturing, consulting, industrial, military or related environment
The approximate pay range for this position is $77,000 - $103,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
