Job Description

CDM Smith is looking to expand our Water Resources Team! Gain hands-on experience solving complex challenges related to water, infrastructure, and the environment. Under direct supervision, you'll apply foundational engineering knowledge through calculations, modeling, data analysis, design activities, and on-site evaluations while gaining exposure to a diverse range of water resources projects.

Responsibilities may include:

• Supporting projects involving climate change adaptation, coastal engineering, collection systems, CSOs, dams, drainage, and ecosystem restoration.
• Contributing to flood management, green infrastructure, groundwater, hydrology and hydraulics, stormwater management, water supply planning and systems, water quality, and other water resources initiatives.
• Working alongside experienced engineers and project teams to apply engineering concepts, analyze data, and develop practical solutions to real-world water resources challenges.
• Collaborating with team members to develop posters, presentations, and other technical materials for conferences and professional events.
• Building technical knowledge and gaining exposure to a variety of water resources disciplines and project types.
• Performing other duties as required.

Skills & Abilities

Basic knowledge of GIS software and practices. Basic Knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices. Basic Knowledge of engineering principles of design. Basic knowledge of hydraulics as appropriate for technical work. Good verbal and written communication skills. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft business software (excel, word, etc.). Basic knowledge of other support tools such as mathematical models, scripting languages, etc.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Civil, Coastal or Chemical Engineering or related discipline. 0 years. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Additional Pay Range Information

CDM Smith is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This pay range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels for the geographic location assigned to the position. In addition to geographic location, a candidate's salary is determined by several other factors including, but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, relevant work experience, skills, required certifications, and education/training.
Additional Compensation

All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
