OverviewABOUT THE POSITIONVHB's Bedford, NH office is seeking an entry level Site Civil Engineer to support our Land Engineering practice.
Responsibilities- Work within a team of professionals in developing site civil engineering plans, reports, and specifications for a multitude of land development projects.
- Provide civil engineering services for retail, residential, institutional, renewable energy, municipal, and industrial site design, including site layout, grading and drainage design, and utility design.
- Preparation and/or reviewing design criteria, drawings, and specifications.
- Compilation of stormwater management reports, including hydrologic modeling and pipe sizing.
- Assist in the preparation of due diligence, permitting, design, and construction documents
- Technical report writing
- Attending meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to establish their needs and discuss design/permitting issues
- Attend site visits during the course of the project
Skills and Attributes- Ability to think critically and creatively in a team-focused environment
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- AutoCAD, HydroCAD, StormCAD, ArcGIS experience a plus
- Attention to detail
- Self-motivated
- Knowledge of local and state regulations governing site design preferred
Qualifications- BS in Civil Engineering
- 0-1 years of professional site/civil engineering experience
The full-time annual base salary range for this position, located in New Hampshire, is $81,000 to $83,000. The base salary offered will be determined based on job-related factors, including geographic location, internal equity, experience, credentials, skills, education, work schedule, and other factors permitted by law. The posted salary range reflects base pay only. Additional compensation and benefits available to eligible employees are outlined in our Total Rewards Program.
