Full Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Help develop business requirements and build project plans, then execute against them.
Identify and manage project risks and issues, including risk triggers and their impact on project tasks.
Make sure all deliverables and activities are completed on time and to a high standard.
Report on project status and strategy, both verbally and in writing, including presentations to executive management.
Work with staff, management, internal and external organizations, and outsourced vendors to gather and manage information for project plans, program/portfolio plans, metrics, reports, and project documentation.
Get to know the business behind each project in depth, going beyond managing the schedule.
Manage several high-profile, high-priority projects at the same time.
Handle other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of project management experience.
3+ years of project management in a healthcare insurance IT environment.
PMI certification.
Project planning experience, including effort estimation for technical tasks and resource allocation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, plus strong proficiency in English.
Ability to bring together people and groups with competing interests and keep them engaged.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Medicaid or healthcare delivery systems, or with healthcare claims system IT projects.
