Job Description
As a Lead Associate on the Enterprise Operational Risk team, you will provide expert risk guidance and help assess and identify potential risks that could affect Fannie Mae's reputation, safety, security, operational resilience, or financial success. You will partner with stakeholders across the enterprise to understand business objectives, evaluate risk exposure, and support informed business decisions.
The Impact You Will Make- Lead and guide risk assessments to identify operational risks and their potential implications for the enterprise.
- Partner with stakeholders across the organization to understand business objectives, processes, and emerging risk considerations.
- Guide analyses, assessments, and reports that identify areas of potential risk exposure and evaluate proposed risks and their impact.
- Monitor risk information, processes, and controls using rigorous analysis to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities to reduce risk.
- Document risk resolutions, control guidelines, and recommendations that support consistent risk management practices.
- Guide team reviews of business strategies and translate risk insights into practical recommendations as consumer behaviors and regulatory expectations evolve.
- Contribute to an enterprise risk culture grounded in sound judgment, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Minimum required experience- 4 years of relevant professional experience.
- Shows curiosity and adaptability in learning and responsibly applying new technologies, including artificial intelligence, to reimagine how we work.
Desired experience- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in operational risk, enterprise risk management, risk assessment, controls, governance, compliance, audit, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex risk information into clear business recommendations.
- Experience collaborating across functions and guiding work in a complex, highly regulated environment.

The hiring range for this role is set forth below.
