Your role at a glanceLead the strategy, architecture, and implementation of enterprise network and automation solutions across data center, cloud, WAN, ISP, and OT environments. This role combines deep networking expertise with modern Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), DevOps, and automation practices to deliver scalable, secure, and highly resilient network services. The Network Automation Architect drives network modernization through automation, network-as-code, compliance enforcement, and operational excellence while serving as a technical leader across infrastructure, security, cloud, and operations teams.
What we are looking for KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop and maintain enterprise network architecture standards, roadmaps, and reference designs.
- Design scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant LAN, WAN, ISP, cloud, data center, and OT Networking environments.
- Create and maintain network designs, topology documentation, and technical standards.
- Audit, analyze, and recommend improvements to network infrastructure, performance, resiliency, and security.
- Research emerging technologies and recommend innovations that advance business and customer objectives.
- Define and implement enterprise network automation strategy and roadmap.
- Design and develop scalable automation platforms leveraging Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), APIs, and orchestration frameworks.
- Develop automation for network provisioning, configuration management, lifecycle management, validation, compliance, and remediation.
- Establish network-as-code practices including version control, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and change validation.
- Standardize templates, golden configurations, compliance frameworks, and deployment workflows.
- Integrate network automation platforms with ITSM, monitoring, cloud, and security systems.
- Develop integrations with ServiceNow, network controllers, cloud platforms, telemetry systems, and operational tools and associated process engineering for new workflows.
- Build dashboards, observability solutions, and reporting capabilities supporting network health, performance, and compliance tracking.
- Leverage telemetry and analytics for operational insights and proactive issue detection.
- The role requires substantial overlap with the working hours of the existing team and key stakeholders to facilitate effective collaboration, operational responsiveness, and project delivery
- Automate policy enforcement, vulnerability assessments, audit reporting, and compliance validation.
- Design and maintain secure Critical Infrastructure Network (CIN) environments.
- Support regulatory, customer, audits and internal compliance requirements including ISO27001.
- Collaborate with security teams on IDS/IPS, firewall, segmentation, and threat mitigation strategies.
- Serve as the enterprise subject matter expert for network architecture and automation.
- Lead technical design reviews, architecture governance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentor engineers and architects on automation, networking technologies, and infrastructure best practices.
- Lead cross-functional projects spanning networking, cloud, security, operations, and software development disciplines.
- Facilitate network working groups and architecture review boards.

- Ability to develop standards, policies, governance frameworks, and technical documentation.
- Strong diagramming, whiteboarding, presentation, and technical writing abilities.
- Ability to communicate architectural concepts to technical and executive audiences.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE- 10+ years of enterprise networking experience.
- 5+ years of experience in network automation, architecture, or infrastructure engineering leadership roles.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS- Primarily sitting with some walking, standing, and bending.

WORK CONDITIONS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS- Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as business needs require.
- Participation in technical planning sessions, site visits, industry conferences, and vendor engagements.
- Ability to support critical initiatives outside normal business hours when required.
- Occasional visits to operational facilities and technical environments requiring adherence to applicable safety and security procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership, technical teams, business stakeholders, and external partners.

Compensation Pay RangeFor roles residing in the US, we share pay and benefit levels to support pay transparency requirements. For other countries, we are more than happy to share our competitive pay and benefit levels during the interview process.
This is a remote position that requires reliable internet connection and electricity. A monthly stipend is provided to cover expenses associated with working remotely and use of a personal mobile device, if applicable.
NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. Base salary for this position is $113,400.00 - $186,300.00.
All regular full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is dependent upon individual and company performance.
