Work Model: Work Model: You'll work in a hybrid model, onsite at your designated Regal Rexnord location at least 3 days per week (Monday-Thursday), with flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days, including Friday.
Position Summary: The Engineering Project Leader Sr is the subject matter expert on assigned systems, designing and detailing the mechanical systems for Regal Rexnord Automation Solutions machinery. This position will be required to manage multiple complex projects at a time ensuring the assembly and operation of the machinery meet all the criteria set by the customer and by Regal Rexnord Automation Solutions.
Major Responsibilities:- Produce error free, cost-effective drawings. These include:
- System layout
- Component drawings, detailed to ensure quality and safety
- Detailed equipment drawings highlighting expected performance
- Establish and manage timelines on assigned projects
- Review and completion of third party system buyouts
- Demonstrate innovativeness in designs, looking for increased quality and cost effectiveness.
- Review and mentor project work for Project Leaders I/II deliverables
- Support and mentor design team to ensure quality in deliverables
- Identify and support implementation of annual cost reduction goals
- Willingness to support Site audits or down Customer requests
- Assume project engineer responsibilities for wide range of project complexities.
- Create and maintain an engineering file.
- Develop and monitor schedules.
- Review work performed by others for the project.
- Provide Mechanical Engineering manager with a weekly status update.
- Perform equipment startups as the lead or as an advisor with the startup team.
- Perform all other duties and responsibilities, as required.
Required Education / Experience / Skills: - General supervision: routine duties are performed with minimal supervision. standard practices or procedures allow me to proceed alone at routine work. occasional check of work while in progress. work is reviewed upon completion.
- Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school. or fifteen plus years related experience and/or training. or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Demonstrated use of intermediate software packages, (word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.)
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in AutoCAD
