Engineering Product Lifecycle Manager

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Manager to join the PLM organization in San Antonio, TX.

Reporting to the Division PLM Senior Manager, this role will manage a team responsible for all Configuration and Data Management activities on the VC-25B program.  This includes planning and management, identification, change and variance management, Configuration Status Accounting (CSA), verification and audits, data management, scheduling deliveries for all CDRLs and non-CDRLS, tracking and coordinating deliveries and performance to plan, making deliveries to the customer, and performing releases of drawings models and documentation.  This manager is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports, and providing oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. This manager is responsible for developing and motivating employees.

This manager will also be part of the Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B) division PLM management team.  In this role they will participate and promote the standardization and alignment of PLM processes and tools across the division, providing input and feedback representing the VC-25B program and PLM, and overseeing implementation of improvement initiatives as applicable.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in San Antonio, TX.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.
  • Bachelor degree
  • Relevant professional experience in configuration and data management or related disciplines.
  • Proven experience leading cross-disciplinary technical teams (software, AI/ML, data science) and managing delivery of production systems.
  • Strong leadership experience, including hiring, performance management, and career development.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience presenting to senior leadership and partnering with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Degree in an engineering, computer science, or data-related discipline.
  • Prior experience in aerospace, defense, or highly regulated industries with exposure to certification, quality, and data-marking requirements.
  • Familiarity with PLM environments (e.g., Dassault Systèmes 3D Experience, Windchill, CMPRO, Teamcenter/IPDM, DCAC) and MBSE concepts.
  • Experience in SAFe Agile methodologies and leadership having a clear understanding of scrum structure and roles such as business owner, product owner, and scrum master.
  • Experience with related PLM tools such as CSDT, REDARS, ADADs, etc.
