As the Engineering Manager, you'll manage the engineering and maintenance functions to ensure efficient and trouble-free operation of the plant. You'll be responsible for the effective and timely delivery of services and expertise in the areas of construction, management and implementation of the capital budget, utilities generation and distribution, process improvement, maintenance, and miscellaneous support and services in support of the plant operations.
- Develop, implement, and coordinate the capital budget to improve and maintain equipment and facilities.
- Inspect and advise on all areas of the plant for equipment design, evaluation and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate operation of steam generating, electrical power service, compressed gases, water, sewer, HVAC, process liquids, plant - wide lighting, buildings, grounds, and fire protection systems to provide uninterrupted service.
- Responsible for all outside contractors to assure compliance with all company standards including sanitation, safety, quality, productivity and budgeting.
- Direct the installation of new equipment and/or modification/rearrangement of existing equipment for assigned projects.
- Set the direction for maintenance and engineering training by providing the leadership, support, and training necessary for the development of each team member as a valued and critical resource.
- Responsible for the maintenance function of plant facilities and equipment with shared responsibility among Operating Department Managers for specific daily maintenance in their respective areas.
- Coordinate staffing requirements within the Department consistent with plant objectives.
- Establish standards of measurements for the Engineering and Maintenance Department performance and administer performance appraisals for all department members.
- Responsible for the review and approval of equipment purchase orders, contract service orders and plant service agreements.
Requirements- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- 7+years of progressive engineering experience, including people leadership and project management, within a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment
The approximate yearly pay range for this position is $124,750 - $170,410. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
