What You Will Do:
  • Oversee daily operations in GLE labs to ensure optimal performance for meeting project demand
  • Install equipment and run cables in equipment cabinets
  • Procurement of materials and allocation of equipment resources
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and supply inventory, arranging for repairs and replacements when necessary
  • Conduct regular operational system checks and safety assessments to identify issues and mitigate potential hazards
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate laboratory activities with organizational objectives
  • Develop and maintain laboratory policies, procedures, and technical documentation
  • Understand and adhere to corporate safety standards and protocols
  • Foster a collaborative laboratory work environment
  • Train and mentor assigned laboratory staff to ensure competence and understanding of protocols
  • Seek opportunities for improvement in laboratory processes to boost productivity, efficiency, and accuracy


Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience
  • At least 9 years of prior experience in an engineering laboratory management role- installing equipment, managing inventory, etc.

  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and team-collaboration skills, including partnering with engineering, safety, and operations teams to complete lab projects on schedule and support cross-department objectives.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent lab priorities, maintaining organized workflows and consistently meeting operational deadlines in a high-demand engineering environment.
  • Maintained a high accuracy rate (98%+ in documented work) through strong attention to detail, including equipment tracking, inventory management, safety assessments, and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), used to generate inventory reports, track equipment procurement, prepare technical documentation, and support lab process improvement initiatives.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 60,000 USD - 114,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
