Join rockITdata as the Engineering & GovCloud Lead supporting one of the nation's largest federal healthcare modernization initiatives. In this technical leadership role, you'll oversee engineering, cloud integration, and Configuration & Integration Testing (CIT) activities that ensure enterprise healthcare solutions are secure, scalable, and ready for production deployment. - Lead engineering activities supporting enterprise healthcare modernization and cloud transformation initiatives.
- Oversee Configuration and Integration Testing (CIT) to ensure applications meet functional, technical, performance, and security requirements before production deployment.
- Coordinate engineering efforts across software development, cloud infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and systems integration teams.
- Collaborate with architects and technical leads to develop scalable, secure, and maintainable cloud-based solutions.
- Support AWS GovCloud implementation activities, ensuring compliance with Federal security and operational requirements.
- Lead technical design reviews, architecture discussions, implementation planning sessions, and deployment readiness reviews.
- Monitor engineering progress, technical risks, testing metrics, and overall implementation readiness.
- Ensure complete traceability between business requirements, technical design, testing activities, and production deployments.
- Partner with Program Management and Government stakeholders to resolve technical issues and remove implementation roadblocks.
- Promote engineering best practices, automation, DevSecOps principles, continuous integration, and continuous improvement across the program.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Ten (10) years of experience leading enterprise engineering, cloud, systems integration, or software development initiatives.
- Experience supporting AWS GovCloud, AWS, Azure Government, or comparable secure cloud environments.
- Experience leading Configuration and Integration Testing (CIT), systems engineering, or enterprise application implementations.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, networking, infrastructure, cybersecurity, DevSecOps, and systems integration principles.
- Experience supporting Agile, Scrum, SAFe, or hybrid software development methodologies.
- Experience supporting VA, VHA, DHA, or other Federal healthcare organizations, health IT, telehealth, or Federal program management is preferred.
- AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer, Azure Solutions Architect, or comparable cloud certification is preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Level 3 Public Trust clearance.
