Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field required; advanced degrees preferred.
• 9+ years of experience with a bachelor's, 7+ years with a master's, or 4+ years with a PhD in engineering.
• Proficiency in civilian and military aerospace materials and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in materials characterization and failure investigations.
• Familiarity with airworthiness regulations related to Materials and Processes.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to secure a DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise in metallic Additive Manufacturing and related materials technologies.
• Establish and refine materials laboratory procedures.
• Conduct failure investigations and suggest corrective actions.
• Implement improvements in design and manufacturing processes.
• Address nonconformance issues related to materials and finishes.
• Participate in Supplier Quality Audits for metallic processes.
• Ensure compliance with safety and legal standards.
