The Role

The Undersea Systems group is responsible for concept design, development and execution of programs and projects to integrate advanced systems and payloads on submarines and other platforms.
The candidate will participate in the development and integration of advanced systems related to maritime applications including submarine systems and sub-sea warfare systems.
The candidate will develop experience with the construction and modernization of SSNs including familiarity with submarine specific requirements and with the processes for submarine modernization.

Ideal candidate will have the following:
- Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) / Digital Engineering (DE) experience
- SysML modeling, CAMEO applications, or other MBSE modeling software
- Functional and Logical architectures
- Experience working with a team
- Significant interest in learning from others
- Interested in solving challenging problems
- Comfortable researching and developing solutions and methodology in new areas
- Self-starter, proficient communicator, and active listener
- Persistent in the pursuit of achieving successful results
- Active contributor - facilitating larger system outlook and solutions
- Contributes to a methodical problem solving approach
- Capable of executing within a team located onsite and/or remotely

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of relevant exempt experience;
Master's Degree and 0 year of relevant professional experience
