Reporting To:
Staff Manager, Systems Design Engineering

Work Schedule:
Onsite - Buffalo, NY

Our Space Division in East Aurora, NY is looking for a Sr. Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team in Cambridge, MA! This Sr. Systems Engineer will be responsible for design and development of integration and test systems. This role will be critical to Moog's continued support of our partnership with a preeminent research and development organization.

As a Sr. Systems Engineer, you will:
  • Working closely with the internal program teams to provide the systems architecture, interface definition, and requirements validation.
  • Creating system-level models, models as requirements, and simulations necessary to support solution architectures with customers during all stages of the development efforts.
  • Leading the design process and providing technical leadership within Moog's program scope.
  • Creating concise reports and proposal write-ups that describe the design decisions and analysis results.
  • Development and maintenance of test plans.
  • Generating and maintaining test and analysis cases for systems and subsystems.
  • Working with other systems engineering team members to generate and maintain traceability of test and analysis cases to requirements.
  • Test procedure and test script development.
  • Post-test analysis script development.
  • Supporting production planning as needed.
  • Test systems requirements development.
  • Working with specific design areas to ensure all testing interests are captured.
  • Execution of test procedure at various test cells, with the support of specific test cell personnel.
  • Communicating test issues and test improvements to test cell personnel leadership.
  • Design and development of multifaceted test execution and tracking systems.
  • Descriptive system modeling to support above activities as needed.
  • Mentoring younger engineers where and when appropriate.
  • Representing Moog in a manner consistent with its leading-edge technical reputation.


To be considered for the Sr. Systems Engineer role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering; Master's Degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar systems/design engineering role.
  • Ability to relocate to Cambridge, MA preferred. If relocation is not possible, onsite in East Aurora, NY with approximately 50% travel expected.
  • Must have the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
  • Demonstrated strong technical written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with requirements management tools, preferably DOORS (Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System).
  • Proven specific capabilities/competencies in requirements management, verification and validation methods, and integration and test.

Salary Range Transparency:
Buffalo, NY $110,000.00-$150,000.00 Annually
